This design is a great way to fix a patch to worn-out clothing and make it beautiful. It’s also handy if you just want to decorate something for fun! It’s a different kind of embroidery than sashiko or boro. It’s more similar to historical folk embroidery, or Renaissance blackwork embroidery. You just follow the outline of the pattern. Every purchase includes a booklet demonstrating different stitches you can use to follow the pattern.

This pattern uses 8 stitches per inch (3.2 mm grid). The full design measures 8.5cm x 9cm/3 ¼“ x 3 ½“ with individual hearts measuring 2cm/¾“ and 1.5cm/½“ across.
